When the author came to us, this independently published textbook had an international following. Both book and brand needed an upgrade that would better serve the author’s key audiences. We guided the development of a clear and unifying message, and developed a strategy for connecting the author’s growing following with the offerings they most wanted. First we met the editorial challenge: working with the original book manuscript, we refined the author’s signature voice, redesigned teaching diagrams to clarify key points, and gave the book a textbook-worthy index. We redesigned the cover and interior to reflect the book’s Buddhist origins, and guided the author in obtaining VIP endorsements for the book and course. To further raise the author’s profile, we developed a complete author brand package, including a content-rich author website and an integrated social media strategy that engaged the broader Mind/Body/Spirit audience with Mr. Elias’ line of personal development products and expanded the audience for his certification courses.
