Graceful Exits: How Great Beings Die
Compiled and edited by Sushila Blackman
Death Stories of Hindu, Tibetan Buddhist, and Zen masters
The author had compiled an extraordinary selection of wisdom stories illuminating the experience of death, and had a publisher in mind for the book. She asked for our editorial help to place them in a sequence that would suggest an overarching narrative, and to give the author a presence in the book. As the author did not wish to place her story ahead of the death stories of the realized masters, we suggested an Afterword, where readers will find her own profound story.
